Chicago’s iconic sculpture was maliciously graffitied, 7 suspects were detained


According to CBS, the iconic metal sculpture “Silver Bean” and “Cancer Survivor Garden” in Chicago, USA, were subjected to malicious graffiti at the midnight on Tuesday (2nd) local time. The white graffiti was painted on the outer surfaces of the two sculptures. Currently, seven suspects have been detained.
According to reports, “Silver Bean” was designed by Sir Anish Kapoor, a multi-million dollar sculpture that was unveiled in Millennium Park in 2004 and is the center of the park. The malicious graffiti happened just after the park was preparing for the National Day celebrations on July 4th in the US “Independence Day.”
